Adobe Dreamweaver is the starting point of study for almost all web designers. It is thought to be the most used web-development environment in the world. In order to use Dreamweaver commercially in web design, a full understanding of the whole Adobe Web Creative Suite (including Flash and Action Script) is something to consider very seriously. Having this knowledge will mean, you can go onto become either an ACP (Adobe Certified Professional) or an ACE (Adobe Certified Expert).

In order to establish yourself as a full web professional however, you'll have to get more diverse knowledge. You'll be required to have knowledge of some programming essentials like HTML, PHP and database engines like MySQL. A practical knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation and E Commerce will help when talking to employers.

Consider only learning programs which move onto commercially approved certifications. There are loads of minor schools suggesting 'in-house' certificates which aren't worth the paper they're printed on in the real world. All the major IT organisations such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA or Adobe all have widely renowned proficiency courses. Huge conglomerates such as these can make sure you stand out at interview.

Does job security truly exist anymore? In the UK for example, where industry can change its mind on a day-to-day basis, we'd question whether it does. Security can now only exist through a fast escalating market, driven forward by a shortfall of trained staff. These circumstances create just the right setting for a higher level of market-security - a far better situation.

Taking a look at the computing business, the most recent e-Skills survey highlighted a more than 26 percent deficit in trained staff. Or, to put it differently, this shows that the UK only has 3 trained people for each 4 job positions that are available now. Fully skilled and commercially certified new workers are as a result at a total premium, and it looks like they will be for much longer. It's unlikely if a better time or market circumstances will exist for acquiring training in this quickly growing and developing business.
